Annual Awards

The Good Food Ireland annual awards are a celebration of those members who, in the panel's opinion, excel and go the extra mile.

The Nominations are open to all Good Food Ireland members who are assessed throughout the year using set guidelines. Because of the cross-section of properties, the awards embrace and epitomise our slogan "best of their type" which allows the small simple restaurant to compete with the most lavish of restaurant. The final decision rests with the panel and editor and the first and final impressions along with the "wow factor" are paramount in the final decision.

To gain entry as a member of Good Food Ireland a property must fit the Good Food Ireland criteria. Independence and breadth of choice mark out the highly regarded group of members who go through an assessment process before being recommended. Over 160 properties have made the grade, having been carefully selected for their quality, individual hospitality, good food and value for money.

In the course of assessment some members stand out as surpassing our entry standards. These members are nominated and begin the award process. All nominations are based on recommendations by our independent assessment team who are tasked with defining what and how a particular member may stand out and therefore qualify for an award.
